iNaturalist como herramienta de ciencia ciudadana para mejorar el conocimiento de la biodiversidad en el Uruguay

El objetivo es introducir a las personas a la ciencia ciudadana, mostrar cuál es la importancia de esta práctica para la ciencia y la ciudadanía, presentar la plataforma iNaturalist y demostrar las funcionalidades básicas de la herramienta para promover su uso. Para esto invitaremos a naturalistas top observadores e identificadores de iNaturalist en Uruguay, para que expongan su experiencia utilizando ejemplos en línea.

Naturalist a citizen science tool to improve biodiversity knowledge in Uruguay

Do you like to take pictures of bugs and plants? Have you ever asked yourself, what species are you seeing? Did you know that there is a space to upload your observations and learn more about the species? If you still don’t know iNaturalist then, this talk/workshop may interest you!

The aim of this event is to introduce people to citizen science, show the importance of this practice for science and citizenship, present the iNaturalist platform and demonstrate the basic functionalities of the tool to promote its use. For this we will invite top observers and identifiers of iNaturalist in Uruguay, to present their experience by using online examples.
